Augmentation Patella
Restoring Stability
The Augmentation Patella is intended to help compensate for defects in the patella during revision total knee arthroplasty. The All-Polyethylene Patella is cemented into the Trabecular Metal Base and remaining patella bone stock. Additional fixation is provided by suture attachment to soft tissue.
Two Implant Sizes and Thicknesses
Medium and large sizes, both in 19mm and 22mm total thicknesses, help compensate for bone deficiencies and restore anatomic relationships.
Trabecular Metal
A biomaterial structurally similar to cancellous bone, Trabecular Metal has greater than 80% porosity, and physical and mechanical properties that resemble bone more closely than other porous prosthetic metals. Fully Interconnected pores provide an unimpeded pathway for cemented fixation. (In the United States, the method of fixation must be cement.)
