Trabecular Metal unites strength with excellent biocompatibility. It has greater than 80% porosity, but retains physical and mechanical properties that resemble bone more closely than other porous materials. Fully interconnected pores provide an unimpeded pathway for cement fixation.
Fully Supported Polyethylene
Polyethylene powder resin is compression molded into the Trabecular Metal . Computer-controlled processing assures a fully integrated junction. The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is completely supported by metal with virtually no chance for separation. Centrally located hex post provides resistance to rotation.
Patella Tracking
The NexGen Primary Porous Patella closely tracks the patellar groove in mid- to deep flexion. Its dimensions correspond to the articulating geometries of all NexGen Femoral Components.
